Book-lined walls, a carved oak four-poster and a deep window seat over the walled garden.
The Library Room was the house's first library, and the shelves stayed when the beds arrived. A thousand or so books still line two walls, from county histories to Agatha Christie, and you are welcome to borrow any of them for the length of your stay. The carved oak four-poster faces a pair of tall sash windows and a deep window seat that catches the morning sun over the walled garden. The bathroom has a slipper bath under a small leaded window and a separate rainfall shower, and the radiators under the windows are the old cast-iron kind that stay warm all night.
Cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before arrival. After that, or if you do not arrive, the first night is charged. Rates booked as 'Pay now, save 10%' are paid at booking and are not refundable.
