The room
The Garden Suite takes the whole ground floor of the west wing. A bedroom with a draped four-poster opens into a sitting room with a sofa, a daybed for a third guest and French doors straight onto the walled garden, so you can take your morning tea out among the roses before anyone else is up.
The bathroom is the grandest in the house, with a cast-iron bath beneath a tall window, twin basins and a walk-in shower. Guests in the suite can have breakfast served on their own terrace in summer, at no extra charge.
