Oak trusses, a wood-burning stove and a bath on the old boards, above the converted stables.
The Hayloft is the top floor of the 18th-century stable block, opened up to the roof so the oak trusses run the length of the room. It has its own stair from the stable yard, which makes it the most private room we have and a favourite for anniversaries. There is a wood-burning stove with a basket of logs, a super-king bed with wool blankets, and a roll-top bath standing on the original wide boards. A gable window looks across the yard to the hills, and on a clear night there is not a single light to be seen.
Cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before arrival. After that, or if you do not arrive, the first night is charged. Rates booked as 'Pay now, save 10%' are paid at booking and are not refundable.
