The room
The Dovecote is a small stone cottage at the far end of the orchard, a minute's walk from the house along a lavender path. The nesting boxes are still in the gable outside. Inside there is a brass double bed with a patchwork quilt, an armchair by the window and a little kitchenette for tea and a late glass of wine.
The bathroom has a painted roll-top bath beneath the window. Breakfast is taken in the house with everyone else, but on request we will bring a basket to your door instead. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Dovecote, and only in the Dovecote.
